Guild House

St. Mary's Guild House Erected in 1799 as a rectory for St. Mary's Church and expanded in the late 1950's, St. Mary's Guild House stands at the north-east corner of West Broad and Talbot Streets next to New St. Mary's Church.  It's first occupant was Dr. Charles Henry Wharton, who served as rector from 1796 to the time of his death in 1833.   Today it houses the Parish Office, Church School and Nursery,  and Parish Hall.   It is the center of the Parish social and organizational life.  It is also used by many local organizations for meetings and special events throughout the year.
